Nice
If I stop being nice
You'll still want me?
I've worked so long,
I've worked so hard,
To be so good.
I do it longer,
I do it harder,
I do it best!
So you'll want me.
Don't you see how hard I try?
See how good I am?
I swallow my anger,
I ignore my hurt,
I forget my pain.
I smile ... because I'm nice.
I'm reallyl nice.
I'll earn your love
By how I act.
I'll deserve your love
By what I do.
I'm terrorized to think
Of not being nice.
My stomach knots and twists.
If you don't want me
I won't survive.
The risk is far too great.

Someone is looking for you.
He hears your cry,
He knows your need.
He's here right now,

There's a grown-up part of you now

She can be there for you
If you let her.
She can learn your needs,
Listen to your pain,

She brings you to Me,
For in Me she lives and breathes
And has her being.
You are part of her.
You will never be alone.
Wherever she is, you will be.

We are together now,
